Background The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the “City”) invites Bids from qualified consultants to provide Professional Engineering Services for the Detailed Design and Construction Administration for the Rathburn Road East and Ponytrail Drive Integrated Road Project. The City has initiated an Integrated Road Program to streamline the design and construction of the City’s infrastructure projects and improve collaboration during project delivery through project bundling. The City has assessed the infrastructure needs along Rathburn Road East and Ponytrail Drive and identified opportunities for project bundling along these two road corridors. The infrastructure needs identified along Rathburn Road East and Ponytrail Drive include pavement rehabilitation and construction of new cycling facilities, pedestrian crossings, drainage infrastructure, noise walls, transit infrastructure, traffic signals and streetlighting and intersection improvements. This project is for the implementation of the infrastructure improvements along Rathburn Road East and Ponytrail Drive. Brief Scope of Work The consulting engineering firm (Consultant) will be required to provide professional engineering services for a Phase One Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Soil Management Plan, Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Investigation, Foundation Investigation, Detailed Design, Contract Tender Preparation and Contract Administration, Construction Inspection, Maintenance Period Administration, Field Geotechnical Inspection and Material Testing, and Project Close-Out. Note that the City is looking to initiate utility relocation works in 2022 in advance of construction.
