The purpose of this Request for Pre-qualification (RFPQ) is to pre-qualify General Contractors with experience in major road reconstruction. Background and Brief Scope of Work Bloor Street is a four-lane major collector road with two lanes on each direction and varying roadway cross-sections. Within the project area, Bloor Street connects to Central Parkway East on the west limit and the City of Toronto on the east limit, for an approximate project length of 4.6 km. The City has assessed the infrastructure needs along this corridor as part of the City’s Integrated Road Program to streamline the design and construction of the City’s infrastructure projects and improve collaboration during project delivery through project bundling. This has provided an opportunity to identify and implement various safety improvements to help make Bloor Street safer and more accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and transit users as guided by the City’s Vision Zero Action Plan including:
