The City of Mississauga (City) is seeking proposals from qualified bidders to provide a Holds Locker solution in a library environment, preferably a public library. 

Mississauga Library’s Future Directions Plan directed libraries to analyze hours of operation at libraries to better serve the needs of the public and to expand Library service with non-traditional service delivery options such as Express Libraries. The Holds locker solution provides the library with the ability to expand hours for library holds pick up and can optionally provide the checkout of a curated borrowing collection outside of the standard operating hours. This increases flexibility of operations for library customers for whom standard operating hours may limit access.

The proposed solution should meet all accessibility standards concerning websites as stipulated in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, S.O. 2005. C.11 (“AODA”).

The scope includes the supply and installation of all related equipment, hardware (if applicable), software licenses, professional and technical services including integration with Library’s ILS, data migration (if applicable), hosting (if applicable) and maintenance and support.

Bidders must be aware that for a cloud-based system database the data storage reside in Canada.
