Without limiting the project scope, which is described in detail in the Contract Documents, the Work involves:

• Modify existing entry ways to both men’s and women’s washrooms from swing doors to airport style entrances. New entrances to meet accessibility clearances;
• Remove and replace existing ceramic floor /wall tile, faucets (hands-free), accessories, mirrors, washroom partitions, toilets and urinals with new;
• Remove and replace existing acoustic ceiling tile. Grid to be reused;
• Remove and replace laminate countertops with Corian counter top vanity and comply with AODA;
• Accessible washroom stalls to include grab bars;
• Paint any new installed drywall and existing walls with no tile;
• Existing shower area to remain. Install new door to separate the washrooms and showers area from the washrooms. Remove or relocate lockers as needed to accommodate the new door;
• Investigate capacity of existing exhaust fans for men’s and women’s washrooms. Existing exhaust (ducts and fans) to undergo maintenance and/or duct cleaning to continue service life as needed;
• The existing rough in to be modified to accommodate new fixture location. The sanitary line to be power flushed if required;
• Provision of all mechanical, electrical, structural, and controls work, as required for the removal, installation, commissioning of above-noted fixtures/equipment;
• Completion of work is expected by March2021, to minimize interruptions to the operation of the facility;
• Coordination and scheduling of all trades and suppliers of the respective work, components and equipment, which may include the following: painting, tile work, dry wall, plumbing, electrical and all other trades required to complete the scope of work;
• Integration of the new equipment/systems;
• Proper disposal off-site of materials;
• Testing and commissioning of mechanical (exhaust fan) and plumbing systems (new faucets, sinks, toilets, urinals etc.);
• Performance of work in full compliance with requirements of local governing codes and requirements of local governing authorities having jurisdiction, including coordination with all authorities having jurisdiction; and
• Other work as specified, and as required.
