Description: 

The City of Mississauga is seeking proposals to provide professional and technical services to develop an Asset Management Program that will be compliant with Ontario Regulation 588/17 and in alignment with good practices detailed in ISO 55000 that will advance asset management practices for transit infrastructure.   Key objectives to be achieved through this plan are summarized below.

  • Identify an asset management strategy and policy for the overall vision of the asset management program
  • Create an asset portfolio of all transit assets with the associated key attributes
  • Evaluate asset performance by developing levels of service and using key performance indicators
  • Develop a risk management framework to be embedded it into decision-making to assist with prioritization and budgeting
  • Develop life cycle management strategiesincluding capital replacement plans, defined useful life and major milestones for asset rehabilitation/overhaul
  • Advance capital and operational budget through investment planning 
  • Develop a continuous improvement plan

The transit asset management program will align with the City’s corporate vision for asset management to direct and support a transit asset management program to increase the longevity of infrastructure.
