Description: 

 The City is seeking a qualified consultant to help design a program that will incentivize developers to build to the higher, voluntary standards of the GDS. Specifically, the proponent will:

  • Conduct background research on incentives: the proponent will conduct research into potential financial and non-financial incentives that could motivate developers to adopt higher tiers of the GDS. 
  • Recommend incentives for a program: based on the background research, the proponent will a detailed analysis of the top options (e.g., estimated costs, uptake, additional FTEs required to run the program) and recommend the top 2-4 options for the City to consider for an incentive program.

Support presentations: to City’s Leadership Team (LT), Environmental Action Committee (EAC), PDC, and Council.
