The City of Mississauga (City) is seeking detailed proposals from qualified consulting firms interested in: Acting as Prime Consultant in the provision of consulting services for a feasibility study for a new transit and maintenance garage facility (MSF). In 2022, an electrification study was completed to assess current battery electric bus (BEBs) technology, to determine if greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets could be attained with the change in fleet technology and to identify a garage phasing strategy that would support the conversion of the existing fleet to BEB. The study identified the need for a new transit maintenance and storage facility (MSF) on an undeveloped parcel of City owned land located at 7300 West Credit Avenue (West Credit).
