| Description: |
The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the “City”) invites Bids from qualified consultants to conduct a climate change risk and vulnerability assessment of municipal assets that are owned or operated by the City of Mississauga. The principle objective of this study is to identify assets within three neighbourhoods - Port Credit, Cooksville, and Meadowvale - that are owned and operated by the City of Mississauga that are at risk of failure, damage, and/or deterioration as a result of extreme weather events and future changes in climate. The assessment will focus on City-owned and operated assets from the following Service Areas: Roads, Stormwater, Facilities, and Parks & Forestry. It is intended that the assessment will yield a characterisation and ranking of the potential climate-risks to public infrastructure within these three neighbourhoods, and provide recommended adaptation measures specific to significant asset classes or types that can be used to inform the development and implementation of Mississauga’s various asset management plans and capital planning strategies. It is also intended that study results will serve as a risk proxy for other neighbourhoods within the City. Key deliverables include:
