| Description: |
The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the “City”) invites Bids from qualified Bidders to provide Workplace Investigation and Workplace Restoration Services. The City requires services for the following categories: Category A – Standard of Behaviors Category B – Workplace Assessments and Workplace Restoration Category C – Surveillance The City intends to award the contract to the highest ranked Bidder(s) in each category as follows:
The Bidder may bid on one or more categories. The Bidder will provide services to the City for only the category or categories that are awarded to the Bidder. Award will be based on the City’s estimated budget. Note: Investigators may be lawyers, however the City is not hiring them for legal advice, but as consultants for the investigation. Services will be required on ‘as needed’ basis. There is no guarantee of business or volume to any Consultant due to the unforeseen nature of the type, volume and quantity of assignments that may come up during the contract term. The City reserves the right to revise/update, add or delete work during the contract period based on the City’s changing requirements and availability of newer technology, methods, media options and practices as they become available. The Consultant shall demonstrate flexibility and accommodate the City’s changing needs as required. Emergency/Urgent Situations: The Consultant will meet the City’s requirements in the event of emergency or urgent situations that may arise during the contract term. The contract will be for a five (5) year term and may be extended, at the sole discretion of the City, for up to an additional five (5) year term. Contract extension, if any, is subject to satisfactory performance of the Consultant, pricing and successful negotiations of both parties. Unit Price shall remain firm for the initial five (5) year term. The contract will be non-exclusive as some investigation services are performed internally by the City. The City also reserves the right to utilize other firms in circumstances where a specialized firm (i.e. legal firm) may be needed, or the Consultant cannot provide services due to such situations as conflict of interest (perceived or real), or the suitability/fit of the Consultant, which will be determined by the City at its sole discretion. Subconsultants/subcontractors proposed by the Bidder are subject to approval by the City. Refer to Appendix C – Statement of Work for more project details. |
