Description: 

The City of Mississauga is undertaking the rehabilitation, reconstruction, and improvements of the city-wide trail infrastructure across multiple park and trail locations within the City. The City’s trail network is a critical component of the active transportation system, supporting recreational use, connectivity, accessibility, and public safety.


Many existing trail segments have reached the end of their service life due to age, environmental exposure, root intrusion, settlement, and surface deterioration. In some locations, trail geometry, width, and edge conditions no longer meet current City standards or user expectations.


This Contract is intended to address these conditions through targeted trail reconstruction and associated restoration works to improve durability, safety, accessibility, and long‑term maintainability, while minimizing disruption to park operations and the surrounding natural environment.
