The decommissioned Orangeville Railway Development Corporation (ORDC) railway corridor runs from northern Mississauga to Orangeville. The rail corridor is slated for conversation to a trail connecting the municipalities of Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. Each municipality is undertaking the trail conversion independently. The City invites pre-qualified qualified bidders to submit bids for the rail-to-trail conversion of the portion of the decomissioned Orangeville Railway Development Corporation (ORDC) rail corridor in Mississauga, between Atwood Lane and Derry Road. The Work under this Contract includes all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary to complete the construction of a new trail facility, in accordance with the Contract Documents. Construction Work will include, but not limited to, site preparation, removals, earthworks, grading, armourstone retaining walls, drainage, hardscape, metal works, site furnishings, planting and all associated restoration. More information is included in Appendix C Statement of Work and attached Appendices E and F.
