The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) is to pre-qualify General Contractors with project experience in construction of pumping stations.


Background and Brief Scope of Work


The pre-qualified General Contractors must have experience with the construction of pumping stations or water and wastewater treatment plants. The Work consists of the construction of a stormwater pumping station including, but not limited to, connection to existing Lisgar foundation drain collector system, installation of wetwell and chambers, pumps, piping and valving, generator, electricals, instrument and control, and site restoration.
The Work within the Osprey Boulevard stormwater pumping station includes, but is not limited to:
1. Preparing construction access, delineate limits of construction with construction fencing and tree protection fencing, and install temporary erosion and sediment control measures;
2. Complete all removals including tree removals, excavation, and grading, clearing and grubbing;
3. Excavation, temporary shoring and dewatering, backfilling, grading and paving;
4. Connection to Lisgar existing foundation drain collector system, installation of wetwell and submersible pumps, piping and valves, backup generator, valve chamber and flow meter chamber, electricals, instrument and control systems including programming and system integration;
5. Coordination with utility agencies;
6. Restore and stabilize the site including landscaping and planting;
7. Excavation and off-site disposal of excess soil in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act and associated regulation, restoration of disturbed areas;
8. Traffic protection, maintenance and management; and,
9. Testing and commissioning.
