The City of Mississauga (the “City”) is seeking detailed proposals from construction firms to provide complete construction management services for the Ice Rink Facility Renewals - Tomken Twin Pad Arena and Paul Coffey Arena located at:
Site A - Tomken Twin Pad Arena Tomken Twin Pad Arena, originally built in 1992, and requires major lifecycle renewals to its building envelope, HVAC system, Building Automation system and ice rink refrigeration system. From 2019-2020 Facilities & Property Management (F&PM) engaged Advantis Design Studio, CBRE and DSR Systems (DSR) to complete multiple building condition assessment reports to assess the extent of repair required, and prepare preliminary costings, which will be used for the next phase of development for this project. These documents are attached as Appendices B,C & D. Site B – Paul Coffey Arena Paul Coffey Arena, originally built in 1968, is one of the sites identified as requiring major lifecycle renewal to the electrical equipment and refrigeration plant, as well as updating the accessibility to the facility. In 2019, Facilities & Property Management (F&PM) engaged DSR to complete a condition assessment report to assess the extent of repair required, and prepare a preliminary costing, which will be used for the next phase of development for this project. This document is attached as Appendix G. The Bidder will be part of a team formed by the City and Consultant for the implementation of the project. |
