The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the “City”) invites Bids from qualified consultants to provide professional and technical services to deliver a Vehicular and Transit Master Plan (‘VaTMP’) to govern the planning of streets, roads, and right-of-way in Mississauga. The City is developing a series of mode-specific plans to determine and document the pressures and issues faced by travellers using that mode, establish a preferred long-term network to facilitate travel by that mode, and determine strategic priorities for program development and infrastructure investment. The first of these, the Mississauga Cycling Master Plan, was completed in 2018. The VaTMP project is intended to deliver the equivalent Transportation Master Plan for Vehicular Traffic and Transit infrastructure. Brief Scope of Work The City will retain a consulting team to undertake the Vehicular and Transit Master Plan study that will ultimately support a number of future processes and strategic decisions. The VaTMP will inform corridor design decisions and infrastructure investment (as part of the City’s capital plan) as they relate to the ongoing intensification and redevelopment in the City.
