The City invites bids from qualified architectural firms to provide complete consulting services for the design and implementation of the Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB) North and associated site, located at 1352 Lakeshore Road East, Mississauga ON. Through the process described in this RFP, the City will select a qualified architectural firm to act as the prime consultant, having total responsibility for all necessary sub-consulting services, including but not being limited to engineering disciplines, building envelope design, building code expertise, interior design, furniture selection, space planning, accessibility design, landscape design, to provide full consulting services to plan, coordinate, design, produce contract documents, implement and administer the construction contract for the redevelopment of the project. It is the intention of the City that the project complies with a minimum performance of Level 1 of the Corporate Green Building Standard, as per attachments. Bidders shall refer to Schedule B – Architect’s Services (in Appendix C) for details. The anticipated construction cost is approximately $25 million (excl. net HST). The construction cost includes the cash allowance and contingency, but excludes all soft costs such as permit fees, consulting fees, FF&E, HST etc. The main construction project will be implemented using the CCDC 5B – 2010 Construction Management Contract – for Services and Construction and includes the City’s Amendments. |
