The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the “City”) invites Bids from qualified professional foresters to submit proposals for a forest resource inventory (FRI) for 34-40 Mississauga-owned woodlots totalling upwards of 209 hectares. The City of Mississauga would like to certify 40 woodlots under Forest Stewardship Council Certification under a group certificate held by the Eastern Ontario Model Forest. Part A will include field-collected data of the FRI through sampling and site inspection, including volume, submission of FRI for all forest stands, confirmation of forest stand boundaries and any changes delineated, updated forest stand boundaries and FRI information in excel database and GIS file. Part B will include the preparation of the following guiding documents: Woodlot Forest Management Plan, Forest Operations Plan, 5 year Operating Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Silvicultural Prescriptions in accordance with the Ontario Professional Foresters Association Practice Bulletin 10 and requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Woodlot Report Cards with overall evaluation of woodlot with criteria included.
