The City of Mississauga is looking to hire a Contractor for Roadway Maintenance & Miscellaneous Emergency Works. The scope of work is split into two sections they are as follows:
Under Section ‘A’, the scope of work under the Roadway Maintenance & Miscellaneous Emergency Works contract is on a Time and Material basis, and shall include the supply of all labour, equipment and material necessary to perform maintenance repairs on Transportation and Works infrastructure, including emergency and miscellaneous works at various locations throughout the City of Mississauga (referred to the City), or as directed by the City’s Representative during the 2021 season.
Under Section ‘B’, the scope of work will include providing a crew to perform duties related to the High Water Protocol. These duties will include but are not limited to, deploying the required pumps when called out to implement the High Water Protocol, including barricades and signage. The Contractor is responsible to provide adequate communication to the City representative on the status of the operation, keep neat and accurate notes on the forms provided indicating the conditions of the water levels at pre-determined intervals and report any and all issues immediately to the City Representative. Ensure that they have the adequate equipment available to ensure that the pumps run uninterrupted, when required. When the High Water Protocol is not active, the crew will be reassigned to perform duties as outlined under section ‘A’, and compensated as outlined under section ‘A’. |
