The City invites bids from qualified architectural firms to provide complete consulting services for the design and implementation of the Erin Meadow Community Centre Renewal Project, located at 2800 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga ON. Through the process described in this RFP, the City will select a qualified architectural firm to act as the prime consultant, having total responsibility for all necessary sub-consulting services, including but not being limited to engineering disciplines, building envelope design, building code expertise, furniture selection, accessibility design, and cost estimating, to provide full consulting services to plan, coordinate, design, produce contract documents, implement and administer the construction contract for the redevelopment of the project. Further details on complete scope of work are noted within the attached Appendix C – Statement of Work document. The design and contract documents will be completed in a single phase whereas the tender packages and construction will be implemented into two phases to accommodate planned shut-downs with the Library and Pool areas. The implementation of the Erin Meadows Community Centre facility work will be a combination of planned shut-downs, after-hours, weekend and regular working hours. The consultant team shall provide consulting services as one coordinated and integrated service. The anticipated construction cost is approximately $4,600,000 (excl. net HST). The construction cost includes the cash allowance and contingency, but excludes all soft costs such as permit fees, consulting fees, FF&E, HST etc. The construction will be implemented using the CCDC 2-2008 Stipulated Price Contract, with City Amendments. Phase 1 construction is expected to start April 2026 and to be completed by September 2026. Phase 2 construction is expected to start September 2027 and completed by March 2028. The dates noted above represent approximate construction timelines and will be refined and finalized with the client group once the design is finalized and the construction impact on operations, lead time for equipment etc. are finalized. |
