The City invites bids from qualified architectural firms to provide complete consulting services for the design and implementation of the Refrigeration Plant Renewal at Clarkson Community Centre, located at 2475 Truscott Drive, Mississauga ON, L5J 2B5. Through the process described in this RFP, the City will select a qualified architectural firm to act as the prime consultant, having total responsibility for all necessary sub-consulting services, including but not being limited to engineering disciplines, building envelope design, building code expertise, interior design, furniture selection, space planning, accessibility design, landscape design, cost estimating, to provide full consulting services to plan, coordinate, design, produce contract documents, implement and administer the construction contract for the redevelopment of the project. It is the intention of the City that the project complies with a minimum performance of Level 1 of the Corporate Green Building Standard, as per attachments. It should be noted that Level 1 represents a rough approximation of the Toronto Green Standard’s Tier 2 performance. Bidders shall refer to Schedule B – Architect’s Services for details. The anticipated construction cost is approximately $1,600,000.00 (excl. net HST). The construction cost includes the cash allowance and contingency, but excludes all soft costs such as permit fees, consulting fees, FF&E, HST etc. The construction will be implemented using the CCDC 2-2008 Stipulated Price Contract, with City Amendments. Construction is expected to start March 24, 2025 and to be completed by December 31, 2025. TO BE USED WHEN HIRING AN ARCHITECT FOR A CCDC2 CONTRACT. |
