Cyclical block pruning proactively assists in maintaining Mississauga's urban forest and helps reduce requests from both residents and stakeholders. This contract will include outstanding pruning work orders for operations within the prescribed zones. Multiple experienced and professional vendors are necessary to facilitate this contract that will run until the end of 2021. 

To be considered for Contract award, the successful bidder(s) must:

• Be readily available to undertake Contract requirements;
• Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with municipal urban tree maintenance;
• Have a proven track record of providing continuous working crews and meeting established project schedules;
• Have GPS units set up on each vehicle, capable of generating reports to be sent to Contract Manager as part of invoicing process;
• Have multiple laptops or devices capable of running Microsoft Excel in conjunction with capable operators to detail field work;
• Provide proof of sufficient insurance from an insurer registered in Ontario, Canada;
• Have sufficient staff (including administrative staff) and capacity to properly service and administer the Contract;
• Have relevant experience on projects of comparable size, scope and complexity as described in the Specifications;
• Have sufficient certified and trained staff, experience and requisite equipment to meet the City's needs as described in this document; and
• Must own or have exclusive use (lease or long term rental) of at least two (2) aerial lifts.
