The City invites bids from qualified Consultants to provide consulting services to complete a Social Climate Resilience Analysis (SCRA) to better understand how pre-existing social, economic, and environmental conditions increase the susceptibility of certain populations to the adverse impacts of climate change in Mississauga. 

The scope of work includes development of:
•  An index, measuring exposure and social vulnerability to climate hazards at the Character Area scale for the whole City – mapping and analysis methods are to align with best practices    and result in vulnerability and/or resilience scores for each area by hazard and for all hazards combined.

•  A GIS-based tool that communicates the spatial distribution of climate change exposure and social vulnerability in each Character Area of the city and their associated scores based on the index. The GIS-based tool to view the results is to be developed using the ESRI Arc Enterprise and ArcGIS Portal implementation allowing the City to maintain and update over time in line with the City’s Technology Sustainability strategic vision.

 
•  A report to summarize key findings, recommended adaptation actions and a description of the methods used along with clear instruction for the City to use and update the SCRA and GIS-based tool.
 

The contract term is for a period of seven (7) months.  Bidders shall refer to Appendix C SOW General – Statement of Work for scope of work details.
