The City of Mississauga (the “City”) is seeking detailed proposals from construction firms to provide Construction Management Services for Renovation of Malton Hub located at 3545 Morningstar Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L4T 1Y3, Mississauga ON. As part of this project the Malton Community Pool – an indoor pool attached to Lincoln Alexander Secondary School originally built in 1970, will be redesigned for use as the future Malton Hub. In July 2020, Facilities & Property Management (F&PM) engaged Cellucci Pace Architects to commence program validation, design, costing and contract documents which will be used for the next phase of development for this project. The Malton hub will be operated by a third party agency SHIP (Services and Housing in Province) .The project scope involves accommodating SHIP and CMS ( Community Services – City of Mississauga ) program spaces within approximately 14,000 - 18,000 sq. ft. GFA in a design scheme that would include a partial level 2 within the current existing Pool building foot print. The services for the pre-construction phase are anticipated to commence on Oct-2020 or sooner, subject to issuance of a purchase order; the services for construction phase are anticipated to start on Sep-2021 with an anticipated substantial completion on Dec-2022, and post-construction services for 1 year warranty period, ending Dec-2023. |
