The City of Mississauga (City) is seeking proposals for qualified Supplier to supply and deliver of fresh and processed meats for Foodservice Outlets for One (1) Contract Year

The City has been active in the sale of food to its patrons at snack bars, restaurants and banquet facilities located at its various facilities throughout the City. The City currently spends approximately $90,000 annually for the purchase of fresh and process meats for resale at its restaurants, snack bars and catering facilities.

Contract term is for one (1) year.

Qualified Bidders are those that:

1. Possess a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and must provide proof of certification with their response;
2. Have completed or are currently managing within approximately the last five (5) years contracts that are similar in scope with the requirements described in the RFP;
3. Provide evidence that supports the Proponent’s qualifications for effectively performing the work detailed in the RFP. The Proponent must demonstrate that they have sufficient knowledge, staff, organization skills, capacity and resources to meet the City’s needs;
4. Possess the financial capacity to complete this project and must provide and submit with their proposal a letter from their financial institution providing confirmation to the City that the Proponent has been and is financially viable.
