The rehabilitation work includes, but is not limited to the following: Environmental protection/mitigation measures; clearing and grubbing; work platforms and scaffolding; construction of median crossover detours; excavation and backfill; concrete repairs and concrete sealing at various locations of the structures; jacking and temporary blocking of superstructure at abutments; reconstruction of ballast walls, bearing seats/plinth, and deck drain assemblies connected to the storm sewer catch basins; replacement of the bearing assemblies, deck drain assemblies and downspouts, expansion joint assemblies, approach slabs, asphalt and waterproofing system; placement of rock protection at the abutments and at the east pier of the eastbound bridge; and landscaping restoration.
