Description: 

The purpose of the RFPQ is to prequalify LED sports field lighting suppliers and products for a three (3) year period, with the potential for extension for up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms.

The primary goals of this RFPQ are to provide for the following on all future sport lighting projects:

  1. Guaranteed Light Levels: Selection of appropriate light levels impact the safety of the players and the enjoyment of spectators. Therefore light levels are guaranteed for a period of 25 years.
  2. Environmental Light Control: Eliminate light trespass and minimize glare.
  3. Control, Monitoring and Reporting: To allow for optimized use of labor resources and avoid unneeded operation of the facility, as well as, allowing the Owner to gather metric on consumption and usage.
  4. Cost Efficiency: In order to reduce the operating budget, lighting systems must demonstrate they are energy efficient and cost effective to operate over a 25-year life-cycle.
