This year the Hazel McCallion Central Library (HMCL) closed its doors for major renovations that are expected to last for two years.  As part of the newly renovated HMCL, the City of Mississauga would like to include a café style establishment in the main floor library to serve library customers, City staff and local residents.  The selected vendor will need to renovate the available space, (approximately 225 sq. m.) and prepare for a simultaneous opening with the renovated HMCL in Spring 2023. 

The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest is to assess the level of interest of food service providers that are capable of meeting the City’s needs. The City reserves the right to discontinue this process; negotiate with a Respondent of its choosing or proceed with a Request for Proposals.  

This RFEI represents the first stage of a multi-stage process and the information requested herein does not require fully detailed, costed responses.   Only respondents that respond to this RFEI will be considered to participate in subsequent process stages.
