The Transportation and Works Department which includes the Fleet Services Section and MiWay Transit Maintenance Section along with the Fire Capital Assets Division is issuing this Bid Request. This Bid Request includes three (3) sections. They are as follows: Section A – Tire Supply and Installation Services for Various Types of On and Off Road Equipment for Fire and Fleet Services; Section B – Tire Supply, Installation and Disposal Services for Transit Non-Revenue Vehicles and On - Site & Road-Side Bus Tire Services; Section C - Lease, Delivery & Disposal of Transit Bus Tires. The City’s objective is to select one (1) or more Bidder(s) for each sections that can provide the Goods and Services in accordance with the City’s specifications, terms and conditions, and that can demonstrate the appropriate skills, qualifications, infrastructure, will and ability to provide ongoing service and support as outlined in this RFT. Bidders must be able to demonstrate that they are fully authorized to represent the items/equipment Bid, that they have the appropriate experience to service an account such as the City’s, and that they are established and organized in a manner that ensures that they will be able to continue to meet the City’s needs over time. Award: It is the City’s intent to award all three (3) sections to the lowest acceptable bidder per section as defined in the Specifications. This means that there could potentially be three (3) separate Vendors working with the City for these Goods and Services, or there could be a single Vendor that is awarded all of the work. The contract term will be for a five (5) year period with an option to renew for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods at the City’s sole discretion, subject to budget availability, acceptable Vendor historic performance and mutually agreed pricing.
