Description: |
This procurement replaces PRC004196. The City of Mississauga requires multiple suppliers for City-wide turf and horticulture restoration and maintenance services for just over a four year term (to December 31, 2028). Maintenance will include turf and horticulture features within road allowances throughout the city. There are approximately 30 hectares of turf to maintain City-wide, along with approximately 45,700 m2 of horticulture features spread across roughly 400 features. In addition, other services will be required of the successful bidder, including but not limited to; watering, planter planting, annual planting, restoration and creation of features, soil and seed of various turf areas, hard surface trimming, mulching, bulb planting, paver maintenance, litter picking, rough cuts, hard surface tree maintenance, and surface stumping. It is the intent to split the Contract between two to four non-affiliated acceptable Bidders. The Contract will be split based on budget available with the lowest acceptable bidder receiving a larger percentage of the budget based on price difference between bids. All efforts will be made to assign work geographically. The City-Centre work (see SOW Sections 7.1 and 8.1) will be assigned to the lowest successful bidder for that section. |
