The City of Mississauga (City) is seeking proposals from qualified multi-disciplinary consulting teams with background in park planning, landscape architecture, urban design, ecology, archaeology, and water resource engineering to undertake a parkland strategy for Cooksville Creek. The goal is to develop a 20-year strategy that will guide the future parkland programming and development, acquisitions, natural heritage preservation, Cooksville Creek trail routing and enhancement of the continuous parkland system and natural areas along Cooksville Creek. The primary area contains 12 parks, covering a five-kilometer segment of the Cooksville Creek, including approximately 75 ha (185 ac) of City-owned and managed parkland. This strategy will include an implementation plan in five-year increments over a 20-year outlook as part of the Cooksville Creek parkland strategy. |
