| Description: |
The City of Mississauga is seeking bidders for preventative maintenance and demand maintenance of gas detection systems across City Facilities. This contract represents an important opportunity to support critical health and safety infrastructure within a broad municipal facility portfolio, including transit facilities, service yards, ice rinks, fire stations, and other locations where harmful gases may be present in enclosed operational areas. The successful bidder will be expected to provide reliable inspection, testing, calibration, repair, emergency response, documentation, and technical support for gas detection systems that monitor gases such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Methane (CH4), and Ammonia (NH3) and others. These systems are essential for activating ventilation, warning occupants of hazardous conditions, supporting confined space procedures, and helping the City maintain compliance with applicable Ontario health and safety requirements. The City encourages submissions from bidders with demonstrated expertise in commercial and industrial gas detection systems, strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations, proven ability to maintain accurate service records, and the capacity to provide timely response to demand maintenance requests. Bidders should be prepared to demonstrate their technical qualifications, staffing resources, quality control processes, safety procedures, and experience supporting multi-site public-sector or institutional clients. The City is looking for a dependable service partner that can deliver consistent preventative maintenance, responsive corrective action, and clear reporting to ensure gas detection systems remain accurate, reliable, and ready to protect staff, contractors, facility users, and the public. |
