The City is looking a Consultant to provide consulting services to complete the planning and preliminary design phases of the Princess Royal Drive Integrated Road Project. The City’s Downtown21 Master Plan recommended a number of initiatives, including a flush street along Princess Royal Drive, to create a high quality pedestrian network that will link surrounding amenities in the downtown core. Brief Scope of Work The Integrated Road Project will develop a plan for a reconstruction of Princess Royal Drive and introduction of a flush street between Living Arts Drive and Duke of York Boulevard (approx. 200m) to create a vibrant, pedestrian- friendly environment for residents, businesses and visitors. The development of the plan will include a robust public consultation process that engages residents, business and other community stakeholders to generate ideas for improvements to the corridor. In addition to setting the vision for Princess Royal Drive, the Integrated Road Project will confirm requirements for various roadway improvements including; resurfacing , traffic calming, enhancements to the pedestrian realm, intersection safety and operations and streetscape. The project will also address the requirements of the internal and external stakeholders including the public and regulatory agencies. |
