Suspended Suppliers
Suppliers (including Sub-contractors) may be suspended from current and/or future Bid opportunities for various reasons. More information on suspended suppliers can be found here. Bidders must familiarize themselves with the City's Suspended Supplier List to ensure they are not subcontracting with any suppliers listed.
Notice to Suppliers - Supplier Name Change Fees - Effective January 1, 2024
As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to streamline processes and maintain operational efficiency, effective January 1, 2024, the City will require payment of a fee prior to processing any request for a supplier name change. Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) for Construction Contracts – Update June 1, 2023
The City of Mississauga has adopted the requirement for an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) as part of its construction contract management and construction tendering processes. This demonstrates the City’s ongoing commitment to health and safety for contractors, employees and residents.
The City currently requires construction contracts to have an OHSMS in place for all construction projects valued over $10M.
Effective January 1, 2024, the City will require proof of OHSMS certification from all construction contractors undertaking projects valued over $5M.
Effective July 1, 2024, the City will require proof of registration with an approved OHSMS from all construction contractors undertaking projects valued between $500,000 and $5M.
Effective January 1, 2025, the City will require proof of OHSMS certification from all construction contractors undertaking projects valued over $500,000.
