Description: 

Carkson Community Center:

  • Elevator Upgrades:
  • Selective demolition and safe removal from site of existing vertical lift equipment,  and all associated components, piping, pumps, etc.;
  • General Contractor to ensure equipment procurement shop drawing is immediately expedited upon award, decommissioning/ demolition of existing equipment to only proceed after equipment delivery and installation timeline is confirmed;
  • All components of new LULA elevator be received on site, transported to the area of work, and assembled in place by qualified TSSA certified installer;
  • Architectural and Structural modification of existing shaft to accommodate to the new LULA elevator.
  • The overall scope includes but is not limited to all associated Mechanical, Electrical, security, controls and building fire controls.
  • Special Site requirements:
  • Coordinate activities by separate contractor for roof top units craning. Site access closed/impacted for upto one (1) day in April 2020. Final date to be coordinated during construction.

Huron Park Community Center:

  • Elevator Upgrades (north and south):
  • Selective demolition and safe removal from site of existing vertical lift equipment,  and all associated components, piping, pumps, etc;
  • General Contractor to ensure equipment procurement and shop drawing is immediately expedited upon award, decommissioning/ demolition of existing equipment to only proceed after equipment delivery and installation timeline is confirmed;
  • All components of new LULA elevator be received on site, transported to the area of work, and assembled in place by qualified TSSA certified installer;
  • Architectural and Structural modification of existing shaft to accommodate to the new LULA elevator.
  • Modification to existing exit stair adjacent to north elevator.
  • Modification to existing HM doors and screens.
  • The overall scope includes but is not limited to all associated Mechanical, Electrical, security, controls and building fire controls.
  • Special Site requirements:
  • Existing modbit roof system around the south elevator shaft recently installed by Triumph, contact Leandro Pedra 416 534 8877 cell: 416 554 1725 and still under warranty. All repairs and modification to this roof be done by Triumph to maintain existing roof system warranty.
  • Refer to drawings for details on phased execution of the two north and south elevators for work on this site.

Erin Mills Twin Arena:

  • Elevator Upgrades:
  • Selective demolition and safe removal from site of existing vertical lift equipment,  and all associated components, piping, pumps, etc.;
  • General Contractor to ensure equipment procurement and shop drawing is immediately expedited upon award, decommissioning/ demolition of existing equipment to only proceed after equipment delivery and installation timeline is confirmed;
  • All components of new LULA elevator be received on site, transported to the area of work, and assembled in place by qualified TSSA certified installer;
  • Architectural and Structural modification of existing shaft to accommodate to the new LULA elevator.
  • Entry Vestibule and Observation space:
  • Selective demolition and safe removal existing HM swing doors at front vestibule and at the two rinks, removal of upper level hollow metal screens.
  • New Automatic aluminum sliding entrance door system, along with swing doors.
  • New sprinkler protected hollow metal glass screens.
  • New floor finishes where indicated along with entrance foot grille.
  • The overall scope includes but is not limited to all associated Mechanical, Electrical, security, controls and building fire controls.
  • Special Site requirements:
  • Refer to drawings for details on phased execution of this work.
  • Coordinate activities by separate contractor carrying out lighting upgrades on site.

The overall scope for all three facilities includes but is not limited to all associated Mechanical, Electrical, security, controls and building fire controls (sprinkler rework, fire alarm tie in etc.,)..
